Bitcoin creator finally unveiled

May 3rd, 2016

Bitcoin has long been a popular way to fund gaming accounts. Ever since its inception in 2009, the cryptocurrency has been a mainstay in the world of online gaming. Also since 2009 has remained the mystery of its creator. Until today. After many years of speculation surrounding the identity of the Bitcoin creator, Australian businessman Craig Wright has come forward as the man behind the innovation.

Mr. Wright unveiled his identity in GQ and the Economist. He was able to prove his identity during a meeting with the BBC by signing a message using one of the original cryptographic keys. This key was created during the initial stages of development and was used to make the first ever Bitcoin transaction back in 2009.

Previously, the only name given for the Bitcoin founder was ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’. Many were sceptical of the moniker, believing it to be merely an alias. They were right. The unveiling of the true founder came after Mr. Wright’s home was raided late last year by Australian police. After the raid, legal documents identifying the businessman as Bitcoin’s founder were leaked and published online.

Many e-wallets used by bingo players, such as Neteller and Skrill are compatible with the currency leading to an uptake in its usage in recent years. One of the reasons that Bitcoin is popular in the gaming sector is due to its ability to make micro transactions.

However, many have previously been wary of the currency due to its decentralized nature. Will the unveiling of a stable leader boost the public’s faith in the Bitcoin cryptocurrency?
